EUROLYMP
REGATTA NOTICE OF RACE
To
the Multihull Criterium Notice of Race
Venue
Roma Sail Week 2000 - Eurolymp Regatta,
Settimana Olimpica Italiana (SOI) for all Olympic Classes, will be held in Anzio
from 26th March to 1st April 2000.
Roma Sail Week is the Italian Regatta of the Eurolymp Circuit and is an ISAF
ranked event.
Organising
Authority
The Organising Authority is the Roma Sail Week Association, in conjunction
with the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) and with the support of the Italian
Navy and the City of Anzio.
Classes
Mistral Men, Mistral Women, Europe, Laser, Finn, 470 Man, 470 Women, 49er,
Tornado, Star, Soling.
Rules
The regatta shall be governed by:
the ISAF Rules in force and relevant appendices,
the Notice of Race,
the Sailing Instructions,
the Eurolymp Rules,
the Class Rules,
The second paragraph of Rule 26.1 of the 1995 Internatonal 470 Class Rules (allowing
the Race Committee to signal that RRS 42 is not in effect) shall not apply.
Category
The Regatta is classified as a B category event. Any specific Class Rule
concerning advertising is automatically altered, so that all competitors may
display advertising according to Category B.
Yachts may be requested to display a sticker of the event sponsors on either
side on the forward 25% of the hull. Sailboards may be required to display advertising
on either side of the sail above the wishbone.
International
Jury
The Italian Sailing Federation will appoint an International Jury, whose
decision will be final in accordance with RRS App. Q.
Entries
and Registration
The advanced entry closing date is 25th March
2000. Competitors shall register at the Regatta Office in Anzio from Sunday
26th March at 10.00 hrs to Monday 27th March at 19.00 hrs. In exceptional cases
the Organising Committee, at his own discretion, may extend entries and registration
closing time.
Each crew shall present to the Regatta Office:
Racing License (FIV membership card for Italian sailors),
Class Association card valid for year 2000,
Measurement or Conformity Certificate,
Measurement Form.
Insurance
Every participant boat shall hold a valid third-party liability insurance.
Prizes
Final prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors in each class.
Special
Prizes and Contributions
Money prizes have been allocated:
| 1st classified in classes with more than 30 participants | : Euro 750.00 |
| 1st classified in classes with less than 30 and more than 15 participants | : Euro 500.00 |
| 30 contributions for accommodation expenses among foreign participants | : Euro 250.00 |
| 10 contributions for accommodation expenses among Italian participants | : Euro 250.00 |
Measurement
Each sail authorized by Class Rules shall be previously measured and stamped
by an Official Measurer.
Sailing
Instructions
Sailing Instructions will be handed to participants within the registration.
Schedule
The first race will start at 11.00 hrs on Tuesday 28th March
2000.

Right
to Use Name and Images
In participating to the Roma Sail Week (RSW), a competitor automatically
grants to the Organizing Authority and the sponsors of the RSW the right in
perpetuity to make use and show, from time to time and at their discretion,
any motion pictures, still motion pictures, live or taped films or videos, on
television and/or other media, showing him/her during the period of the RSW,
as well as to use such contents in any material related to the RSW without compensation.
Logistics
Special facilitation concerning hotel fees
and accomodation have been defined.
Social
Events
Excursion and visit to Rome, concerning the Jubilee 2000 will be organized with
the framework of social events and will be daily communicated with special notice.
