PROVISIONAL NOTICE OF RACE
Venue
The 27th edition of the Roma Sail Week
will consist of the following events.
• Laser Italia Cup, for Standard, EPS, Radial and 4.7 Laser Classes,
will be held in Anzio on 24th and 25th March 2001.
• Multihull Criterium 2001, for Multihull Classes, will be held in Anzio
on 24th and 25th March 2001.
• Eurolymp Regatta, Settimana Olimpica Italiana (SOI) for all Olympic
Classes, will be held in Anzio from 26th to 31st March 2001. Roma Sail Week
is the Italian Regatta of the Eurolymp Circuit and is an ISAF ranked event.
Organising
Authority
The Organising Authority is the Roma Sail Week Association, in conjunction
with the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) and with the support of the Italian
Navy and the City of Anzio.
The Roma Sail Week Association is constituted by Circolo Canottieri Tevere Remo,
Sezione Velica Marina Militare Anzio, Circolo Vela Roma, Circolo Velico Tiberino,
Lega Navale Italiana Anzio, Associazione Velica Sabazia, Circolo Velico Nettuno,
Lega Navale Italiana Ostia and Centro Velico Le Sirene.
The Laser Italia Cup is organised in collaboration with AssoLaser.
Classes
• Laser Italia Cup: Laser Standard, Laser EPS, Laser Radial and Laser
4.7.
• Multihull Criterium 2001: Hobie Cat 16, Hobie Cat 18, Formula 18, Dart,
Class A.
• Eurolymp Regatta: Mistral Men, Mistral Women, Europe Open M/W, Laser,
Finn, 470 Man, 470 Women, 49er, Tornado, Star and Yngling.
Rules
The regatta shall be governed by
• the ISAF Rules in force and relevant appendices,
• the Notice of Race,
• the Sailing Instructions,
• the Class Rules,
• the Eurolymp Rules (only for the Eurolymp Regatta).
The second paragraph of Rule 26.1 of the 1995 Internatonal 470 Class Rules (allowing
the Race Committee to signal that RRS 42 is not in effect) shall not apply.
Category
The Regatta is classified as a C category event.
Yachts may be requested to display a sticker of the event sponsors on either
side on the forward 25% of the hull. Sailboards may be required to display advertising
on either side of the sail above the wishbone.
International
Jury
For the Eurolymp Regatta, the Italian Sailing Federation will appoint
an International Jury, whose decision will be final in accordance with RRS App.

Entries
and Registration
The advanced entry closing date is
• 10th March 2001 for the Laser Italia Cup (entries sent via email to
assolaser@assolaser.org or via fax to +39 027491855),
• 20th March 2001 for the Multihull Criterium and the Eurolymp Regatta
(entries through the RSW site at www.romasailweek.org).
Competitors shall register at the Regatta Office in Anzio
• for the Laser Italia Cup, Saturday 24th March from 9.00 hrs to 12.00
hrs,
• for the Multihull Criterium, Friday 23rd March from 10.00 hrs to 19.00
hrs,
• for the Eurolymp Regatta, from Sunday 25th March at 10.00 hrs to Monday
26th March at 19.00 hrs.
In exceptional cases the Organising Committee, at their own discretion, may
extend entries and registration closing time.
Each crew shall present to the Regatta Office the following documentation:
•
Racing License (FIV membership card for Italian sailors),
• Class Association card valid for year 2001,
• Measurement or Conformity Certificate,
• Measurement Form.
Insurance
Every participant boat shall hold a valid third-party liability insurance.
Prizes
Final prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors in each class.
Special
Prizes and Contributions
Money prizes will be allocated for 1st classified in classes with more than
15 participants.
Special contributions for accommodation expenses will be drawn amongst all the
competitors.
Measurement
Each sail authorized by Class Rules shall have been previously measured
and stamped by an Official Measurer.
Sailing
Instructions
Sailing Instructions will be handed to participants on registration.
Schedule
• The first race of the Laser Italia Cup will start at 13.00 hrs
on Saturday 24th March 2001.
• The first race of the Multihull Criterium will start at 11.00 hrs on
Saturday 24th March 2001.
• The first race of the Eurolymp Regatta will start at 11.00 hrs on Tuesday
27th March 2001.
Right
to Use Name and Images
In participating in the Roma Sail Week (RSW), a competitor automatically
grants to the Organizing Authority and the sponsors of the RSW the right in
perpetuity to make use and show, from time to time and at their discretion,
any motion pictures, still motion pictures, live or taped films or videos, on
television and/or other media, showing him/her during the period of the RSW,
as well as to use such contents in any material related to the RSW without compensation.
Logistics
Special conditions concerning hotel fees and accommodation will be defined.
Social
Events
Special social events will be daily communicated.
